Phone Transfer is absolutely for you if you have the same WhatsApp transfer issue.
At the very beginning, download Phone Transfer on PC and launch it after the installation. When you see the main interface of the software, choose "Phone to Phone Transfer" mode.
Step 2 Connect Both Samsung Phones
In this step, connect both your Galaxy S5 and Galaxy S6 to the computer via USB cables. Make sure that the S5, which you want to transfer WhatsApp data from, is displayed on the left as the source and the S6 on the right as the destination one. If they are on the wrong place, tap "Flip".
Note: Make sure that the USB cables are well connected during the whole process to ensure the transfer finished successfully. Or you can back up your WhatsApp chat history to Google Drive before the process.
Step 3 Transfer WhatsApp Data from Samsung to Samsung
In the middle of the interface, you will see that there are several data types listed, including contacts, text messages, calendar, call logs, photos, videos, music, apps and app data. Tick on the box next to "App Data (Root)" and the "App" category will be selected as well. Choose "Start Transfer" to start copying WhatsApp chat history, attachments and more files.
Note: There will pop up a window saying that the program needs to temporarily root your Android if it hasn't been rooted yet. Choose click on "Confirm". After the process Android root will be removed.
It is no longer a big headache for Samsung users who want to transfer WhatsApp data between Samsung as long as you use Phone Transfer. With three simple steps, not only the WhatsApp data, but also the Facebook Messenger, Skype, Twitter and more app data can be copied from Samsung to new one with ease.
